Principal

An innovative and assertive executive with over thirty years of achievement in the Design Profession.  A multi-cultural background and solid experience in projects all over the World has created a wide base of knowledge.  A proven history of completing projects within time and budget constraints has developed many long-term relationships with significant clients, governments and communities.  He possesses a unique combination of talents which merge creative problem solving abilities and graphic skills with management and fiscal responsibilities.

Education

Guy Butler graduated with honours in Applied Science and Technology from the Queens University of Belfast.  In addition, he has Masters of Science Degrees in both Architecture (Queens) and Business (Rollins College).  He has practised architecture as a principal since 1975.  He is a member of both the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects.

• Millenium Parc, Orlando, Florida.  Architect of Record for a high-end residential project due for completion in 2006.  RPVA is the design consultant.

• Mandalay Harbor, Key Largo.  27 condominium cottages and 11 hotel units on an existing marina for Earthmark.

• Hampton Court Castle, Herefordshire, England.  Conceptual master planning for a luxury resort community on a 960 acre estate built for Henry IV.

• Humewood Castle, County Wicklow, Ireland.  Conceptual master planning for a luxury resort community on a 400 acre demesne manor.

• The Reunion Grande Hotel, Reunion, Florida.  82 room condo-hotel with public spaces and a 9,500 s.f. ballroom

• The Villas at Reunion Square, Reunion, Florida.  504 units of condominium ownership returned into a rental pool managed by the Ginn Company.

• Heritage Crossing at Reunion, Florida.  192 units of condominium ownership returned into a rental pool managed by the Ginn Company.

• The Equestrian Centre at Reunion, Florida.  A 10-stall horse barn amenity.

• The Bonnet Creek Golf Clubhouse and maintenance facilities.  Servicing a Rees Jones Course in Orlando, Florida.

• Florida Manor Golf Course in County Down, Northern Ireland.  Consultant to the owners.

• The Hillcrest Condominium Studios in Orlando, Florida

• The Carnoustie Hotel and Resort.  Ongoing consultation for one of the most prestigious hotels in Europe.

• The Orlando Wyndham Resort.  Various projects including a 37,000 s.f. ballroom addition, front lobby and porte cochere, kitchen modifications.

• Conceptual Design Package for all buildings at the River Sea Park, Alabama

• The Addison Hotel: Boca Raton, Florida.  Concept schemes to best remodel a historic building on Mizner Park into a 130 room hotel and performing arts centre.

• Er Bello and Il Grotto: Heathrow, Florida.  Full services for Enzo Perlini Restaurants. 

• The Pennsylvania Hotel and Residence Club:  St. Petersburg, Florida.  A 12 storey addition to the historic hotel for the Windrose Hotel Group.

• Hamilton Hall, St. Andrews, Scotland.  Concepts to renovate the famous hotel behind the 18^th. Green on the Old Course into a suite hotel.

• The Central Facilities Building at Reunion, Florida.  Check-in facilities for the Resort along with a 26 unit Private Residence Club and Health Spa.

• The Clubhouse Hotel at Reunion, Florida.  154 suite units over 80,000 s.f. of public space.  A $35 million project with full support spaces for two ballrooms and the golf course administration.

• The Golf Clubhouse at Reunion, Florida.  Includes comfort stations for the golf courses.

• The Gatehouse at Reunion, Florida.

• The Seven Eagles Golf Villas at Reunion, Florida.  84 townhouses and flats.  The entire product sold in 2 hours at the sales release.

• Sorrento Springs Amenity package.  Clubhouse, community building and gatehouse.

• Awaji Sealife Park, Japan. (1990)  Designed six ride pavilions as part of the largest sealife park in the world. 

• Happy Land / Happy World, Nigeria (1991).  Encompassing over 100 square miles outside Lagos, this project will eventually provide the whole of Africa with an economic boost.
